Guido Driesen
President and General Manager, Capsugel

Guido Driesen has spent most of his career with Capsugel, the world's leading provider of dosage form solutions to the pharmaceutical and related healthcare industries. Capsugel offers a diverse array of products and services to help customers move to the forefront of drug delivery, and is best known for its capsule products, which it manufactures at ten facilities in nine countries around the world.

Capsugel's customers span the globe, and include all major healthcare markets: Pharmaceutical, OTC Consumer, and Health and Nutrition. Working by the vision "to be the leading supplier of innovative dosage forms and solutions to health care customers around the world," Capsugel takes pride in using its advanced technology to better enable customers to accelerate the pace of drug development, and bring their products to market faster.

Guido first joined Capsugel in 1983 in Belgium as a Quality Engineer, progressing through various Operations assignments, including responsibility for the manufacturing start-up of Capsugel's joint venture in Suzhou, China. From 1990-1994, he served as Plant Manager in the company's Bornem, Belgium facility before becoming General Manager of Capsugel France and subsequently Vice President of Europe, Middle East, and Africa. Guido took over as President of Capsugel in July 2002.

He holds a Masters Degree in Engineering from the Catholic University of Leuven, Belgium and a Bachelors Degree in Economics.
